Led by guitarist Mané Fernandes, this band, in its most nuclear trio format, featuring Simon
Olderskog Albertsen(NO) on Drums and Luca Curcio (IT) on the double bass, presents their
newly released album:
“sQuigg: playground_etiQuette”(Carimbo Porta-Jazz 2026).
“The sQuigg” is firstly about movement and groove. It is aesthetically broad Music that goes
from instrumental hip-hop and electronic music, to free improv and spiritual jazz, they play and
improvise from a deep sense of friendship, joy and love. This is generous music that, though
quite intricate and rhythmically complex at times, always seeks to connect and engage on a
human level.
Expect rhythms you’ve never heard before, joyous head-nods and intense improvisation.
