Since the age of 10 Helena has been performing within theatre, dancing and singing. So it came naturally to study Musical Theatre in several institutions such as Performing Arts School among others. But jazz and improvisation has always been a big part of Helena's expression, especially when she got to create her own music and paint both through music and in the music.
Now, she has studied jazz for 5 years and has developed a singing technique that is inspired by Sara Vaughn, Blossom Dearie and Carmen McRae. Also her expression is very influenced by Miles Davis, Sonny Stitt, Charlie Parker, John Coltrane and more, which you can hear in the playful way she improvises.
Today she is charming her audience with well-known standards and her own tunes that leave a mark on every person that hears it.
