Richard Farrell (IE)
Richard has been deeply immersed in music for as long as he can remember. Whether classical, folk, jazz, blues, or soul, music is undoubtedly in his bones.
His melodies and lyrics are inspired by Irish greats such as Van Morrison and Paul Brady, alongside heroes like Stephen Stills and Nina Simone.
He arrived in Denmark in 2015 and began by playing on the streets of Copenhagen. His musical career truly took off in 2018, when he won a Danish Music Award for Best Blues Album with his blues/soul project Trainman Blues. This was followed by two more Danish Music Awards in 2021 with the same band.
In 2023, he released his second album under his own name, Bathing In Cold Water. In 2024, he followed this with a series of live acoustic releases and videos under the name The Sunday Sessions.
Alongside his own projects, Richard also works as a songwriter and vocalist, collaborating with producers from all around the world.
