Albin Ormegard is a Swedish guitarist based in Copenhagen who, in recent years, has performed
extensively at clubs across Europe. He studied at Royal College of Music in Stockholm and
at Jazzcampus Basel. Ormegard was the first Scandinavian participant in the prestigious Focus
Year program in Basel, where he shared the stage with artists including Kendrick Scott, Linda May
Han Oh, Jorge Rossy, Aaron Parks, Becca Stevens, and Miguel Zenón. On April 17, 2026, he
released his debut album, Look Up, on the Swiss record label Clap Your Hands (home to artists
such as Jorge Rossy, Kevin Hays, and Wolfgang Muthspiel).
For this concert at Villette Albin is presenting a new trio program together with French saxophone
phenomenon Darius Moglia and Australian bassist Alistair Peel. The three musicians have
collaborated on recordings and concerts all around Europe in the past few years.
