Lea Foxman is quickly emerging as a new name on the Danish jazz scene. Combining technical skill with deep musical sensitivity, she creates a distinctive sound and a presence that naturally reaches beyond the stage. For this evening, she joins two of Scandinavia’s leading young guitarists to explore a wide-ranging repertoire.
Swedish guitarist Albin Ormegard, based in Copenhagen, has built a strong presence on the European jazz scene through performances across the continent and his work in contemporary ensembles.
Mads Hededal Oldenskov, also Copenhagen-based, brings a notable voice shaped by his studies at the Royal Danish Academy of Music and collaborations with internationally acclaimed artists.
Through their shared time in the Focusyear programme at Jazzcampus Basel, the two guitarists have developed an intuitive musical connection, clearly reflected in their interplay, which both surrounds and supports Lea Foxman’s vocal.
