Jonas Johansen's new group Adventure Trio is a guitar trio, with music based on simple, catchy lines and strong grooves. The group consists of three mature musicians, who tell their story simply and clearly, bound in a long life with music. Jonas' ability to naturally incorporate inspiration from his travels all over the world becomes an important part of the band's sound. The music is jazz, with a slightly "spy" vibe, and a cool groove. Sometimes almost indie rock - other times bolero or ballad, with this special mix of sadness and happiness, which is also found in South American music. But all grooves grow out of the melodic material.

Guitarist Thor Madsen was originally born in Chicago but lives in Copenhagen. He plays with a direct "no-nonsense" captivating attitude, which really makes his guitar sing. Thor has toured and recorded all over Europe, Brazil, India and the USA. He plays with the Jazz Explorer Trio (also with Johansen), Jan Harbeck’s Live Jive Jungle, Copenhagen Jazz Orchestra, Camille Jones and Abdullah S. He has accompanied stars such as Norah Jones, Donny McCaslin, Eddie Henderson, The Nublu Orchestra and Matt Penman. Thor’s current band, Thor De Force, has released two albums on the New York-based label Ropeadope Records.

Jesper Bodilsen is today a big name in both Danish and international jazz. Early on with Ed Thigpen (who was Johansen’s teacher) in several constellations. Later with Stefano Bolani and a resulting long collaboration with extensive work in Italy. With Ulf Wakenius and for many years with Katrine Madsen (also with Johansen). In addition to that an endless series of international stars from Brad Meldau to Bill Frisell, Lionel Loueke, Paolo Fresu and Jeff “Tain” Watts. Bodilsen himself produces many albums with both Danish and international artists.

Jonas Johansen is one of our most recognized drummers, with a personal sound developed through a 40-year career at the top level, and participation in over 200 albums, of which 17 albums in his own name. Jonas was drummer in the DR Big Band 1990 - 1999, and NHØP Trio 1996-2005. He currently plays with the Copenhagen Jazz Orchestra, Rosalia De Souza Quarteto 55°, Lars Møller in several contexts as well as his own bands. Jonas has performed with, among others, McCoy Tyner, John Scofield, Egberto Gismonti, Maria Schneider, Eliane Elias, Ulf Wakenius, Enrico Pieranunzi, Steen Rasmussen, Marc Johnson, Toninho Horta, Tom Harrell, Steve Swallow, Chris Minh Doky and Mike Stern....
