With spicy vocal harmonies, four strong lead singers in the front and a rhythm section with something on their heart, Dynamic has made a name for themselves on the Danish jazz scene in a rare genre. The band was founded when singer and arranger Paul Kim moved to Denmark from San Francisco, where he has won awards and worked with big names in vocal jazz such as Bobby McFerrin and Jon Hendricks. Several reviewers have compared them to The Manhattan Transfer, but the band has a sound all its own. The group has a broad repertoire with both their own numbers, beloved jazz standards (Duke Ellington, Cole Porter, Thelonious Monk, etc.) and songs from both the Nordic countries and France. From swing to simple Nordic over funky West Coast grooves and Latin rhythms, Paul Kim's catchy and original arrangements stand as a journey through the landscape and history of jazz.
