The night consists of three sets, where material from Anna Maehl, Saltmother, LM Madaen and ilinx are mixed and performed with a band gathered for the occasion. The intimate concert-room which characterizes ilinx, translates to a crew consisting of drums, bass, clarinet, flute, recorder and guitar. The solistic compositions becomes common property and unites with ilinx’ compositions for a night of sensitive vocal experiments, songs of heartship, friend-art-pop, folklore spells and restless r&b.

Even though the crew is expanded and the solistic compositions are included, is will still be a night in the name of the voice. Common for solo projects from the three members is, that the voice is central. On this night, you get the opportunity to see how the expressions of the three individuals melt together in the united ilinx.

ILINX
With the voice as a storyteller as well as primary corporal material, ilinx explore the potential of the voice to create and nurse human connections. In ilinx the individual stories of the three members melt together as a complete new story, which unites medieval tonality, minimalistic choral works, avantgarde voice experiments and deconstructed r&b. The music is as futuristic as it is traditional. ilinx released their debut album Memory in 2020 and are now working on their follow up.

ANNA MAEHL – as a youngster Anna Maehl played accordion in folk music orchestras and sang Joni Mitchell by the piano. Today her heartfelt and longing songs as memos of piano and vocal improvisations, that are reshaped to folk-inspired pop songs with charming DIY-productions. After releasing her first single Youth Song, Anna Maehl has among others competed in the begian competition De Nieuwe Lichting and played Uhørt. You can expect new music from Anna Maehl soon!

LM Madsen – Behind LM Madsen is composer and singer Laura Marie Madsen. In 2022 she released the EP ‘intimacy issues’ under the name Swell; a collection of songs about heartbreak, revengelooks and falling for a bad boy (again). The sensitive union of chamber music and r&b made her played on P6 and foreign radio and mentioned in Gaffa as “one to keep an eye on”. Now she is making her restless debut album under the name LM Madsen. With a unique sense for details, Lauras take the listener through everything from minimalist choir works, stoner rock to r&b with her strong and distinctive phrasing language.

SALTMOTHER – After releasing her artpop EP Heavy In Baby Blue in the fall of 2022, singer and composer Amanda Appel’s solo project has now turned to the more acoustic, dark soundscape. With inspiration from folk songs, religious music and the multiverse reality of the internet, she writes functional songs to the modern human, carried by Appel’s dramatic vocal and sense of colorful chord language....
