FEM RUM - A site specific piece for four electronic musicians

FEM RUM brings together four visionary electronic musicians—Julie Østengaard (member of XYZ Sound Collective), Mads Brauer (Efterklang), Kim Kristensen (Ildvæverne), and Simon Toldam (member of ILK Music) in a groundbreaking collaboration of electronic and acoustic sound. The ensemble will perform FEM RUM, a site-specific composition inspired by the unique architecture and ethos of KU.BE, an innovative cultural hub in Frederiksberg.
The work, conceived by composer Simon Toldam, explores the concept of poly-perspective, using the performers’ distinct musical styles and KU.BE’s five architectural spaces as creative prisms. Structured in five parts, the piece incorporates textural landscapes, loops, beats and melodic fragments, blending individual expression with architectural influence.
