La Fontaine presents a new name on the Danish jazz scene: pianist Michele Ribeiro. Her music combines the rhythmic richness of samba with traditional jazz harmonies
Born in Brazil, Ribeiro has been based in Portugal since 2006 and holds a degree in jazz piano from Lisbon’s Escola Superior de Música. In 2019, she released her debut album of original compositions, Luz de Outono.
At La Fontaine, she presents her trio with Romulo Duarte on bass and Alexandre Damasceno on drums. Jacob Fischer joins them on guitar as a special guest.
