After ten successful years as a musician in New York, saxophonist Anders Gaardmand returned to his native Denmark and has since become a regular presence at La Fontaine. His funky playing still carries the energy of his years in the US.
This evening, he is joined by veteran piano master Ben Besiakov – one of Denmark’s hidden jazz gems – and his son David Besiakov on drums. With Rune Fog-Nielsen on bass, the quartet brings together two generations of outstanding jazz musicians.
