On Wednesdays in Tivoli Gardens from May to August, you can enjoy leading Danish jazz artists performing with the Tivoli Orchestra under the baton of conductor Peter Jensen. Each concert consists of three sets at 19:00, 20:00, and 21:00.

Danish alto saxophonist and composer Asger Nissen has just returned to Copenhagen after seven years of study at Jazz Institute Berlin. In 2023, he released his debut album Nissen Mosh – Precious, followed in September 2024 by Kaiser Pommes, an album recorded with his new band of the same name, co-led with trumpeter Kasper Tranberg. Drawing on a deep love of the jazz tradition and inspiration from 20th-century classical composers, Asger Nissen has crafted a strong personal sound that blends agile melodic structures and rhythmic complexity with intuitive interplay and pure emotion.

Marius Zeeberg:
Copenhagen- and Stockholm-based saxophonist and composer Marius Zeeberg is active both as a sideman in various Scandinavian ensembles and as leader of his own trio. Musically, he draws inspiration from the early free jazz of the 1960s as well as from modern virtuoso saxophonists such as Mark Turner and Chris Speed.
