The concert is a meeting between Japanese musician Shuichi Chino, Kresten Osgood and Asger Thomsen. Chino has been active on the avant-garde scene in Japan since the 70s and has lived in Berlin for the past many years, where he is a vital exponent of radical free improvisation. Osgood is an omnipresent drummer who has played with everyone and is fluent in any musical situation. Thomsen has thoroughly explored the sonic possibilities of the double bass and offers energetic momentum.

Shuichi Chino is part of Final Descent’s Artist in Residency 2025, where three Japanese musicians will visit Copenhagen Jazz Festival with solo performances and exciting new collaborations. The residency program is supported by Toyota Foundation and The Danish Arts Council.
