This concert will mark the release of duo Küchen/Berre’s brand new album “På Snurr” featuring swedish multi-reed player Martin Küchen and Norwegian drummer Håkon Berre. Küchen and Berre started their collaboration in 2016 as occasional jam sessions at Berre’s rehearsal room in Copenhagen. Then came the corona pandemic. After the pandemic lost its grip, Küchen and Berre resumed their collaboration and have since recorded their first duo album “På Snurr” (meaning “crooked/distorted/drunk” or “spinning”) that will be released on Barefoot Records on July 7th, 2025. The duo explores the possibilities of prepared percussion and sopranino saxophone in a raw, unpolished and intuitive manner, rooted in European improvised music and American free-jazz.
