Ying-Hsueh Chen is a Taiwanese-Danish percussionist and composer, internationally acclaimed for her extraordinary stage presence, groundbreaking interpretations of contemporary music, and shamanistic approach to performance, improvisation and composition.

Ying-Hsueh enjoys a versatile career across Europe and Asia. As a soloist, she has performed with, among others, the National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra, Theatre of Voices, and the Danish National Vocal Ensemble. Her accolades include the Danish Music Critics’ Artist Award and the Danish Composers’ Society’s Musician Prize. Her performances have been broadcast on radio and TV in Denmark, the USA, Taiwan, and South Korea, and have received praise from publications such as The New York Times. Her latest album, Dark Radiance, received a 6-star review from Politiken.
