Felix Moseholm (b. 1997) is a compelling young double bassist with a international presence. He has already toured with a wide range of respected artists, including Brad Mehldau, Samara Joy, Sean Mason, the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis, Jeff "Tain" Watts, Frank Lacy, Victor Lewis, Billy Drummond, and Jorge Rossy.
Raised in an artistic household, Felix was surrounded by creativity from an early age. He began studying cello as a young child and, after ten formative years, transitioned to the double bass—encouraged by his granduncle Erik Moseholm, a notable bassist known for his work with Eric Dolphy, Don Byas, and others.
At the age of 18, after playing professionally in Denmark for a few years, Felix moved to New York City. There, he studied under the mentorship of Gerald Cannon, Ben Wolfe, and George Coleman while earning both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from The Juilliard School (2018–2023).

Felix quickly became an active figure in the NYC jazz scene, performing regularly throughout the city while continuing his academic progress. He appears on several acclaimed recordings, most recently Samara Joy’s Portrait (released October 2024). He can also be seen in Isaiah J. Thompson’s NPR Tiny Desk concert, and as part of the Brad Mehldau Trio on their 2024 live album recorded in Nancy, France.
Now based between New York and Copenhagen, Felix continues to perform, record and teach both locally and internationally.
