The award-winning vibraphonist Viktoria Søndergaard is now performing with a new band under her own name. The music is inspired by jazz, cabaret, chamber music, avant-garde, rap, Sukuma tradition, and Scandinavia. Viktoria brings a playful, exploratory, and collective approach to music.

Viktoria Søndergaard is a vibraphonist, composer, and bandleader. She has performed with artists and ensembles such as Marilyn Mazur, the Danish Radio Big Band, Marc Ducret, Smag På Dig Selv, the Tivoli Ensemble, and many more. She is the bandleader of the group BARYL, and now also leads this new project in her own name. Together with Czech double bassist Klára Pudláková, she forms the duo SMUK ZVUK. In addition to her own groups, Viktoria plays in various bands across Europe, including in Norway, Iceland, the Czech Republic, and Denmark.
