Joanna Wojtkiewicz is a polish jazz vocalist and arranger currently based in Copenhagen. She completed her Bachelor's degree in Composition and Music Theory at the Academy of Music in Poznań in 2022 and is now pursuing a degree in Jazz Vocal Performance at the Syddansk Musikkonservatorium.
For this concert, Joanna will present a special program dedicated to the music of Billie Holiday- one of the most influential voices in jazz history. With her deeply emotional delivery, raw honesty, and timeless phrasing, Holiday has been a major inspiration in Joanna’s journey. By revisiting some of her most iconic songs, Joanna pays tribute not only to Holiday’s legacy but also to the enduring emotional power of her music, bringing a fresh and personal interpretation to these beloved jazz standards.
