The Danish-European jazz quartet Richard Andersson & Rudi Mahall Quartet is coming to Tårnby Main Library with music from their new album Monk & More – a meeting between American jazz history and modern European sensibility.
The album, released on Hobby Horse Records, brings together four strong voices from the European jazz scene for a repertoire of modern jazz classics: music by Thelonious Monk alongside compositions by Lennie Tristano, Ornette Coleman, Lee Konitz, and Jimmy Giuffre.
The Danish double bassist and bandleader Richard Andersson is a central figure in the Nordic jazz scene, known for his extensive artistic work and collaborations across borders and generations.
