The award-winning guitarist and composer Casper Hejlesen has, in just a few years, established himself as one of the most exciting new voices on the European jazz scene. With a sound that balances experimental curiosity, Nordic melancholy, and poetic simplicity, he creates music that both challenges and invites the listener in.

Hejlesen's latest releases, "Minimalism" and "Idyl", have received great acclaim, and in 2025 he made his debut as a soloist with the DR Big Band with his own compositions. For this concert, Hejlesen performs alongside two prominent figures from the Danish improvisation scene: bassist Richard Andersson and drummer Kresten Osgood. Together, the trio explores an open and lively musical space, where composition and free improvisation merge into an intense, present interplay.
