Abekejser
The Aarhus-based quartet Abekejser presents the sound of their fourth album, Algoality (2026). The work explores the meeting point between the hyper-digital and the organic. The music balances an analog presence with the pull of digital reality, created in collaboration with producer Bill Laurance and mix engineer Nic Hard (both known from Snarky Puppy).
Genre-wise, Abekejser sits at the intersection of jazztronica, electro-rock, and neo-soul. Since their debut in 2019, they have established themselves as one of Denmark’s most distinctive representatives of a hybrid genre, drawing connections to both Snarky Puppy and Jaga Jazzist. Audiences can expect complex jazz harmonies woven into danceable grooves, catchy melodies, and a pulsating electronic foundation, where improvisation and strong melodic cores are always in focus.
