HØK is dynamic and intimate indie-folk jazz with Nordic melodies, improvisation and exploratory interplay. In 2024, HØK released their debut album "Ud Af Byen" featuring original tracks that together form an organic and contemplative sonic universe. The music exists in the borderland between modern jazz and songs that evoke the spirit of the Danish folk high school songbook — narrative and down to earth. The band describes their music: "The heart of our music is the living, organic interplay. We are constantly searching to create something unique in the moment, and to make room for as many nuances as possible — and for each other's personalities in the music. The sound of HØK is a warm, acoustic jazz trio with modern harmonics and melodies drawn from our shared background in jazz and our love of the folk high school songbook."
