THE END’s music is characterized by a strong emphasis on melody, harmony, and rhythm, creating a captivating and dynamic listening experience. The band’s sound is both modern and timeless, drawing inspiration from a wide range of musical traditions, including jazz, funk, rock, and world music.
THE END’s unique sound owes much to Morten Grønvad’s MIDI-enhanced vibraphone, which allows the use of synthesizers in combination with the vibraphone, creating a richly varied sonic universe that complements his lyrical yet assertive playing style.
After a few years’ absence, audiences can once again enjoy the return of THE END’s original saxophonist, Thomas Hass. His beautiful and all-encompassing melodic playing style is delivered with a profound presence and virtuosity that demonstrates a deep respect for the music.
One hallmark of THE END’s music has always been its strong rhythmic drive, which is now carried forward by Swedish-Italian drumming phenomenon Niclas Campagnol. Niclas’ playing is world-class, showcasing unmatched musicality and breathtaking technique.
His powerhouse beats are perfectly matched by the Cuban super-bassist Yasser Pino, whose rhythmic foundation is deeply rooted in the Cuban music tradition, upon which he has developed a unique, funky fusion style. Together, they form the solid and groovy foundation that underpins a powerful and engaging musical experience.
