Award-winning guitarist and composer Albert Yde Waidtløw presents his current project featuring handpicked musicians from New York’s contemporary jazz scene. The music is rooted in new compositions where Nordic sensibility meets the energy and improvisation of the big city.
On stage, a strong lineup features Albert Yde Waidtløw on guitar, Claus Waidtløw on tenor saxophone, rising pianist Wilson Woods, Matthias Petri on bass, and Karl Wind Seyer-Hansen on drums. Together, they create a vibrant and dynamic interplay with room for both intimacy and virtuosic expression.
The sound is inspired by today’s NYC jazz while also drawing on Brazilian composers such as Egberto Gismonti and Toninho Horta. The result is a nuanced expression where melodic strength and rhythmic complexity go hand in hand.
