OTOOTO, consisting of Jonas Due (trumpet and flugelhorn), Oilly Wallace (alto saxophone and flute), Calle Brickman (keys), Andreas Svendsen (drums and percussion) and Matthias Petri (bass), has been a fixture on both the Danish and international jazz scene since their debut in 2021 with the album 'This Love Is For You'.

Their new release marks a new chapter in their journey and reflects a bold, mature artistic vision that promises to cement their place on the Scandinavian contemporary jazz scene.

Drawing inspiration from everything from 70s rock and European church music to the groundbreaking sounds of Jean-Michel Jarre and Vangelis, the five musicians – led by trumpeter Jonas Due and saxophonist Oilly Wallace – themselves describe their sound as “a roaring sea of ​​analog synths and velvety horns”.

Featuring eight meticulously composed original tracks, the album balances strong, memorable melodies with intricate orchestration, a continuous sense of groove, dense texture and fearless lyrical improvisations. A collaboration with electronic producer Sofie Birch, the album is an electro-organic sonic exploration of the union between acoustic instrumental sounds and electronic manipulation, led by the sound of the legendary Juno 106 synth alongside magnificent jazz-inspired musicianship.

Blåly is a young trio motivated by the transformative powers of music, with a sound rooted in collaboration and community.
