SNUS (LT/DK)




SNUS is a new wave of alternative/ avant-garde Jazz music. Inspired by both the contemporary, free and progressive jazz scenes, you’ll find the sextet playing with and around both harmonies and odd-meters in a variety of different-styled tunes.

The Lithuanian trumpet player Apolinaras originally created SNUS for Vilnius Young Power Jazz Festival 2022, where he gathered both Danish and Lithuanian musicians to play and compete. Since then the band has created, played, recorded and utterly destroyed a lot of original compositions in an everlasting search for a pure SNUS-sound. When playing live you will experience this inner-search in form of musically unorthodox choices, big dynamic output in both sound and appearance and at times an almost trance-like atmosphere.
