Jungle Money Four + Epli Chamber Ensemble + Kaja Draksler solo (SL)
Kaja Draksler is a Slovenian pianist, keyboardist and composer. She released her first solo album The Lives of Many Others to considerable critical acclaim with Clean Feed in 2013, and has since toured Europe with her ever evolving repertoire. She released her live recording Soothe My Soul, Feed My Though in 2021 on Idilyc Noise and her third solo album In Otherness Oneself in 2022 on Unsounds.
In recent years, Kaja started experimenting with different keyboards in order to widen her language, and add microtonality to it. Part of her exploration also involves various types of pipe organ, in combination with microtonal vocoder singing.
In her solo performances, Kaja is interested in finding ways to merge the composition and improvisation by focusing on form, structures and timbre. Her very own and irresistibly clear sound moves between the aesthetics of European improvised and New Music with echoes of traditional jazz and classical music, which she studied.
