"With Horse Orchestra, the future of Danish jazz is secured."
That was the verdict when Horse Orchestra's debut album won two Danish Music Awards almost 10 years ago. Since then, the band has cemented its status as an influential, original orchestra on the Nordic jazz scene through several releases and over 100 concerts.
The septet consists of musicians from Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Iceland - a unique collection of young instrumentalists from the Nordic improvisation scene who have a handle on their musical history and who at the same time manage to open up the music to a much wider audience.
