Saxophonist and composer Mads Hansen is a familiar figure on the Danish jazz scene. His warm sound hints at Stanley Turrentine and Michael Brecker, while retaining a personal voice that has led reviewers to describe him as a funky romantic.
This evening, he joins forces with one of Danish jazz’s great improvisers, pianist Henrik Gunde. Jeppe Skovbakke on bass and Andreas Svendsen on drums complete the quartet.
