Javanese Tarawangsa is part of the trance collective Tarawangsa Sunda Lugina from Rancakalong in western Java. As descendants of the rich tradition of ritual trance music and dance, they proudly preserve the cultural heritage of their village and honor the Javanese fertility goddess Nyimas Pohaci.
