Nikolaj is one of the Danish jazz world's most recognized pianists with a piano playing that is characterized by a deep personal touch, melodic vein, and a mix of virtuosity, groove and imagination. Although Nikolaj is best known from jazz, he draws on all genres in his musical interpretations, and you can experience deep influences from both Nordic and American traditions. The renowned "Magnet Magazine" recently referred to Nikolaj as one of today's most inventive pianists, which is reflected in a broad artistic career in everything from film music to pop and trendy underground jazz.
