Anders Gaardmand / Henrik Gunde Kvartet
Anders Gaardmand is a distinctive figure in Danish music. With roots in the 1970s rock scene and countless studio recordings, he later established himself as a powerful jazz saxophonist. After years as a professional musician in New York, he returned to Denmark with an energy and experience that still defines his playing.
This evening he is joined by pianist Henrik Gunde, one of Denmark’s most creative and swinging pianists. Together with a strong rhythm section featuring Daniel Franck and David Besiakow, they present music rooted in the classic jazz tradition, inspired by artists such as Dexter Gordon and King Curtis.
A night of groove, personality and deep respect for the tradition.
Note: Doors open at 8:00 PM. Doors for the concert close at 11:30 PM, after which the room is prepared for the jam session.
