Christina von Bülow and Claus Waidtløw are two of Denmark’s most acclaimed saxophonists. They have known each other for more than 30 years, but only rarely perform together. They now make up for that with this exclusive concert, paying tribute to one of the world’s greatest songwriters—the Brazilian composer Antonio Carlos Jobim.
The audience can look forward to a beautiful and atmospheric concert experience as the two saxophonists interpret Jobim’s classics. The two soloists are supported by an all-star rhythm section, including the Brazil-based bassist Romulo Duarte, whose authentic feel for the Brazilian music tradition adds a special depth and rhythmic warmth to the music.
