Chris Tanner Trio featuring Jon-Erik Kellso (USA)
Join us for an afternoon of classic jazz at Charlie Scott’s during the Copenhagen Jazz Festival. From 17:00–19:30, clarinetist and vocalist Chris Tanner is joined by special guest Jon-Erik Kellso on trumpet, one of New York’s leading traditional jazz musicians.
Since moving from Detroit to New York in 1989, Kellso has performed with artists including Wynton Marsalis, Catherine Russell, Dick Hyman, and Levon Helm. His distinctive trumpet sound can be heard on numerous film and television productions, including Boardwalk Empire, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, The Aviator, and Bessie.
Completing the quartet are Henrik Bay on guitar and Jens Kristian Andersen on bass. Expect an evening of swinging jazz, blues, and timeless melodies performed by world-class musicians in the intimate atmosphere of Charlie Scott’s.
