Formed in 2020, SoulFried is a collection of hard-hitting, soul-cleansing funksters.
With sources of inspiration such as James Brown, Snarky Puppy, Fearless Flyers, The Meters and Maceo Parker, SoulFried is a funk/fusion band that delivers a fiery set of original funk, soul, jazz, Latin, rock and hip-hop inspired grooves.
In 2022, the first single, “Dim Sum”, from their upcoming album, “Chonk Lé Fonk”, was released.

A Plane To Catch came to life in the spring of 2021, when 5 young Danish jazz musicians met at the Bolsjefabrikken late at night in Copenhagen. They listened to funk, afrobeat, soul and Motown and started jamming groove-based music. The atmosphere was top notch, and they subsequently met every week. The band was created, and a common goal to ignite dancing feet, swaying hips and incredible parties continues to drive this amazing groove band.

The band consists of some of Denmark’s leading young Danish jazz musicians and plays exclusively original compositions. With inspiration from musicians such as Maceo Parker, Fela Kuti, Al Green, Eddie Harris, James Brown and many others, the band has found its very own funk, soul, Latin, salsa, afrobeat, fused sound. And with extensive experience from the Danish and international music scene, this new orchestra delivers instrumental dance music in a special league....
