The Italian-American alto saxophonist and clarinetist Giacomo Smith has been based in London for a number of years, where he has made a name for himself as one of the significant figures on the British jazz scene, both as the prime mover in the successful orchestra Kansas Smitty's, as well as as a soloist with everything and everyone from Jamie Cullum to Wynton Marsalis.
From the same creative milieu in the British capital, we also find the pianist Joe Webb, who with his highly virtuosic playing and historical overview is regarded as one of England's great up-and-coming piano stars.
