Alt R Jazz is a concert organisation based in Aarhus with a primary focus on experimental jazz and improvised music. Since 2022, the organisation has held concerts during Vinterjazz as well as Aarhus Jazz Festival, usually at the venue Det 3. Rum (The 3rd Room) owned by Frontløberne at Sydhavnen. During the last couple of years, Alt R Jazz has established itself as an important actor on the music scene in Aarhus with two successful 3-day festivals i 2023 with a large audience, a 5-doubling of their signed memberships and a wide age span within the audience.
