At one of the city's highest points, you will find a 34-metre-high building – a protected pioneering work in reinforced concrete, which supplied Copenhageners with drinking water 1930-2011. In 2019, Brønshøj Water Tower became part of Copenhagen's cultural supply, as a cultural center under Copenhagen Municipality. A cultural center with up to 40 seconds of reverberation on the deepest notes.

Brønshøj Water Tower is one of the earliest completed functionalist buildings designed by the architect Ib Lunding. Today, the in-situ-cast building houses a variety of site-specific performances, concerts and exhibitions that explore and work with the architecture and resonance of the water tower.

It has become a cathedral for light and sound enthusiasts and a growing number of artists who want something different from what a traditional venue or the white cube of an exhibition space offers.
