A nice jazz evening awaits at Brønshøj Copenhagen Jazz Club. In addition to setting up a cozy evening of jazz and blues, the two musicians will tell anecdotes about New Orleans jazz and their experiences there.

Hans Knudsen is a self-taught musician and at the beginning of his career he played with traditional New Orleans jazz bands. His special interest in the piano-based boogie woogie, blues, jump and rhythm’n’blues, led Hans Knudsen to switch his main instrument to the piano during the 1970s. In 2014, Hans Knudsen received the Copenhagen Blues Festival’s honorary award “Danish Blues Name of the Year” for his “… many years of effort on the Danish and international blues scene…”.

Norbert Susemihl is a German trumpeter, drummer, singer and bandleader. He helps to make New Orleans Jazz and New Orleans music visible through his work and has lived in the city for many years, where he played with local musicians.
