Future Sound of Jazz

Future Sound of Jazz is Copenhagen Jazz Festival’s theme for the rendezvous point between electronic music and jazz. The theme was founded in 1996, coinciding with Copenhagen’s role as European Capital of Culture. Electronic music has seen a steady progression ever since, both as a genre, a tool and a unique type of expression – reaching far inside jazz and improvised music in general. Future Sound of Jazz has presented artists such as Matthew Herbert, Herbaliser, Polar Bear, Kruder & Dorfmeister, Burnt Friedman & Jaki Liebezeit, Forest Swords, Future 3, Nitin Sawhney, Juju & Jordash and many others.
