Alfred Ocansey is a young jazz pianist who has already made a strong impression as an exciting new figure on the Danish jazz scene. He won “Young Funen Jazz Talent of the Year 2025” and participated in TV2’s music program Piano, where he performed his own compositions and arrangements in collaboration with Mads Langer. Alfred’s style is deeply rooted in the jazz tradition of swing, bebop, and post-bop. This evening, the trio will present a mix of well-known jazz standards as well as Alfred’s own compositions. His music draws from many sources—you can hear both the Nordic sentimental tone, lyrical melodies from the classical world, and the harmonic complexity of jazz. WIth him he has two of the most prominent young talents on each instrument: Mads Tornemark on drums and August Bøegh on double bass.
