Bigoni/Gísladóttir/Ljunggren (IT/IS/SE)
A meeting of three strong voices on the Copenhagen scene, a crossing of paths which is in several ways inspired by prominent figures as Skúli Sverrisson and Bill Frisell. After a promising first gig at 5e last year and performances such as the one at Clay in Middelfart, the trio is approaching its first tour and recording session.
Bára Gísladóttir is a unique bassist and composer, recipient of numerous awards, at ease with chamber music, free improvisation and orchestral works. Multi-instrumentalist Gustaf Ljunggren is a driving force of many pop, rock, jazz bands and collaborations that span from Joe Henry to C.V. Jørgensen. Francesco Bigoni, mostly active in Denmark and Italy, performs as a bandleader and a sideman with the likes of Mark Solborg, Wayne Horvitz and Jim Black.
