A rare Northern European piano trio gathered in Gaarden & Gaden's intimate room. Kit Downes — British pianist and organist on ECM Records, Mercury nominee and one of his generation's most acclaimed improvisers — has built a sonic world all his own, somewhere between jazz, chamber music and church organ. He's joined here by Thorbjørn Stefansson, the Berlin-based Danish bassist and recipient of the JIB Jazz Prize as "outstanding soloist", and Swedish drummer Cornelia Nilsson, a central voice on the young Copenhagen jazz and improv scene.
