Spacelab is one of the longest-running and most deeply attuned trios in Danish jazz. The three — pianist Nikolaj Hess, bassist Anders "AC" Christensen and drummer Mikkel Hess — have played together since their childhood in Vejle, and have been a trio for more than 30 years. You can hear it. This is trio jazz where the nuance lives between the notes, where form is breathed rather than executed, and where three friends still find new places to go together. Spacelab's midnight concerts are a long-standing Copenhagen Jazz Festival tradition — and this year, for the first time, they bring it to Gaarden & Gaden.
