Through her great 50-year career in Danish and international jazz (Miles Davis, Wayne Skorter, Jan Gabarek, Gil Evans, Jon Balke, NHØP a.o..) Marilyn Mazur has impressed with her multifaceted drum and percussion playing. She has been at the head of a number of successful groups, including Celestial Circle, Future Song, Shamania and Maluba.
With NOW, she presents a new Danish ensemble, which she says was "created especially for these times, when it feels so right to gather in close constellations. A musical community that celebrates the moment, the emotions and the new times".
Marilyn Mazur NOW! plays new music, mainly Marilyn's own compositions with fresh impulses from the participating personalities, a multifaceted music with memories from a long life in the service of music. Lots of grooves, songs, resonance, physicality, mystery and poetry - and a good pinch of loving madness.
