With roots in Copenhagen’s experimental jazz and punk scene, Echo, Bravo are at the forefront of pushing the boundaries of what a rock band can sound like. The quintet’s uncompromising sound is a musical “empty-the-fridge” soup made from leftovers of post-punk, free jazz and noise rock.
Echo, Bravo’s raw, energetic and half-humorous style grows out of a free and spontaneous approach to music. With improvisation as their starting point, their songs often emerge from unpredictable jams that begin as noisy outbursts. In true soup-making fashion, they are boiled down to something simple and seasoned with whatever is lurking at the very back of the fridge — harmonica, percussion, or even a pink plastic flute.
