Over nearly 20 years, SVIN have built one of Denmark's most distinctive discographies in experimental rock. Since their debut Heimat in 2011, the band has developed a sound that moves between noise rock, drone, new age minimalism and folk. The result is music that resists categorisation but rewards the attentive listener.
The band has performed at Roskilde Festival, Eurosonic and by:Larm, and has toured extensively across Europe. In 2019, SVIN was selected for the Danish Arts Foundation's programme Den Unge Kunstneriske Elite (The Young Artistic Elite, 2019–2022), and that same year received a commission to compose music for the ensemble Aarhus Sinfonietta. The work premiered at Aarhus Festuge and was subsequently released as the album Elegi in January 2022 on Dacapo Records.

Aarhus Sinfonietta, which premiered at Store Vega in 2025. The band's most recent album Introducing SVIN, released on the German label Tonzonen, received the award for Alternative Album of the Year at the Danish Music Awards Jazz in 2023.
SVIN has also collaborated with a number of artists, including Bisse in the joint band BISSESVINET, Maja S.K. Ratkje, Mija Milovic and Marie-Eline Hansen.
In 2026, SVIN is working on music for a new release, to be recorded in September at the legendary studio Monochrom in Poland. The band is simultaneously writing new music for the Aarhus Baroque Festival and preparing the release of the music from Carrier....
