She has positioned herself in the Danish music scene as Denmark's soul queen with a voice that is often compared to Whitney Houston's. Whitney Houston is also Marie Carmen's declared idol.
Marie Carmen Koppel's repertoire ranges widely from soul, gospel and over to Jazz, which is also close to Marie Carmen's heart. She sings her own songs as well as interpretations of her favorite songs. All taken from her long career and 10 solo albums. She is accompanied by pianist Søren Bebe.
