RMC and Copenhagen Jazz Festival to host JazzCamp and Workshop for Songwriters/Producers this summer

Rhythmic Music Conservatory (RMC) and Copenhagen Jazz Festival are yet again co-hosting both CPH Jazz Camp and Copenhagen Songwriter/Producer Camp on 5th-8th July.

Taking place at RMC, the two camps each cater to jazz composers, songwriters and producers, aspiring and experienced talents alike.

CPH Jazz Camp is an advanced level workshop for young talented jazz composers. The workshop’s purpose is to aid the participants in furthering both their compositional skills and their professional networks. As a participant, you will develop your artistic visions and goals, get new inspiration and discover new paths in collaborative music making. Enjoy working at one of the world’s leading schools for contemporary music, under the tutelage of some of the most acclaimed contemporary jazz composers. This year’s team of composers consists of Myra Melford (US), Eirik Hegdal (NO), Jacob Anderskov (DK) and Fredrik Lundin (DK).

Copenhagen Songwriter/Producer Camp is an advanced level workshop for young talented songwriters and producers. The workshop aims at developing each participant’s skill in songwriting and production, as well as strengthening their professional networks. Like CPH Jazz Camp, Copenhagen Songwrither/Producer Camp also strives to develop our participants’ artistic visions and goals, supply new inspiration and to show them new ways of collaborative song writing. At this workshop you will be taught by the songwriters Mika Levi (UK), TIC (UK) and Nis Bysted (DK).

Participants at the two camps are also eligible for free entrance at a selection of the more than 1000 concerts taking place during Copenhagen Jazz Festival 2016.

The deadline for applications is shared between the two camps on Monday 9th May.
