Cathrine Legardh Nordic Quartet
Here is a unique opportunity to experience jazz vocalist Cathrine Legardh together with violinist & harmonica player Alexander Kraglund, pianist Jacob Christoffersen, and bassist Jesper Thorn.
This will be a concert that is both intimate and sparkling, as Legardh interprets a selection of the songs she loves most from the borderland between jazz and Nordic folk ballads. The repertoire spans both new and older music in English, Swedish, and Danish.
Alongside jazz standards and evergreens, the program includes a selection of Legardh’s own compositions written outdoors beneath the treetops, as well as a handful of poems by Tove Ditlevsen set to music — and, of course, a couple of inevitable Swedish classics from the late Monica Zetterlund’s era. Welcome to a musical moment where anything can happen!
